A sell offer is a collection of business rules that define the data being sold, the commercial terms of the purchase, and who has access to the data
Sell offers are the mechanism that allows data suppliers to create their selling rules. Sell offers typically act as a container to represent a single data monetization strategy. An organization may have multiple data types & strategies that would be set up using separate offers.
Creating a Sell Offer
Sell offers can be created by navigating to the "Sell Offers" page using the Sell menu in the header of Narrative Distribute (if you don't see the Buy menu please contact support). Once on the "Sell Offers" page, click on the "New Order" button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
When creating a new order, users will be dropped into a guided process allowing them to fill out the required sell offer components.
Components of a Sell Offer
A sell offer has a number of components that need to be defined by the user. Each component defines a subset of the sell offer's behavior
Each sell offer has a status that tells Narrative Distribute how to execute the offer. Order status include:
- Active: the offer is set live and will be executed by Acquire
- Inactive: The offer is not live and will not be executed
Choose the appropriate components and constraints for the type of data being sold, which include:
- Data Package Type
- Country Code
- Look-back windows
- User & location lists
- Set your price
Set your Buyers
Choose which buyers in Narrative's Marketplace are allowed to purchase data in the Sell Offer. Select between all companies or a subset using whitelist & blacklist capabilities.
Sell offers will align with buy orders that fit the same constraints and price. Acquire users who have matching buy orders will be able to bid on the corresponding sell offer(s).
Define your order pricing based on a USD cost per 1000 events.
