What formats are supported for file upload in Universal Onboarding?

Onboard a file of raw emails that we will hash before it leaves your computer, or upload a file of already hashed emails.

When onboarding customer data in Universal Onboarding, you can upload a one-column .CSV or .TXT file of one of the following:

  1. Raw emails: The app will hash these on your computer before onboarding.
  2. Hashed emails: MD5, SHA-1, and SHA-256 hashes are all ok.

A file must contain at least 5,000 valid IDs to be uploaded.

Raw Emails

If you're uploading a file of raw emails, your file should:

  • Be in .TXT or .CSV format
  • Contain raw emails in 1 column

A header row is optional.

Hashed Emails

Universal Onboarding accepts MD5, SHA-1, and SHA-256 hashes.

If you're uploading a file of hashed emails, your file should

  • Be in .TXT or .CSV format
  • Contain hashed emails in 1 column

A header row is optional.

It is ok to include multiple hash types in one file.
